After effects of have cancer as a little one?
My friend survived cancer when he was a baby. He had a bungled operation and has to have checkups incl. x-rays etc a few times a year. He's 18.
ntly it's been getting him down a great deal. I'd just like to know specifically what the effects could be (I've asked him before but I'd purely like more details) and if I can, how I can support/help him because he seems to be having a rough time.
Thanks :)
Answers: That is awful for anyone to own to deal with such a serious illness at such an untimely age. I do not quite understand what you mean by "erstwhile operation" as in they were not able to fully remove the tumor? Well cancer have many "effects" but if you are referring to psychological depression can play a big role. There may be days were he just does not consistency like getting out of bed or doing anything. If you are looking for a way to support him...the best thing you can do is not to ask him in the region of his cancer (when you are having fun). The best way for him to deal beside it is to treat him like a normal kid and don't continuously ask him about it, I am sure he know you care but does not want to constantly be reminded. Wish you all the best.
