I am seriously worried around my brother..?
Okay it's quite a long story but I'll cut it short.. my mum had cancer while she was have my brother, he had to be born by caseraian (can't spell) section, and my mum had high-ranking blood pressure. My mum passed away 2 years later. My brother is 8 now and he's been have problems going to the toilet, like diarrhea most days, and he can't make it to the toilet in time. His diet is alright so we're sure it's not that. Recently he's be ill and complaining of 'something like a rock being surrounded by my tummy'. I am so so worried right now and keep crying. Am i over -reacting?? my brother is going to the doctor later on but he'll probably forget to mention roughly speaking the 'rock'! Should I go?
Answers: As he's one and only 8, he should go with someone who will explain everything (including his description of how it feels). Try not to worry too much - you're bound to I know given what happen with your Mum. You don't say how long this has be going on for - but for instance constipation often has diarrhoea alongside it as the unsoftened stool blocks the way and some runny stuff squeezes by (because by very soon the tummy is upset from tummy ache). With any luck this is all it is. The GP will check for appendicitis and any other things - so that is the very best subsequent step.
Yes sweetie, you stir along with him, but you need his permission to progress ito the consulting room. Speak to your brother first, don't just assume it will be alright, after all its private stuff. Make sure he gets checked out though, it could be serious, after again maybe not, best to be safe than sorry. Good luck, hope he is ok.
Dam right you run! and dont leave till you get some proper answers!
Like the others hold said, you should definitely go with him.
nno how old you are, or if he'll be going alone or not, but I really do think you should go beside him.
Good luck!
Im sorry to hear around your mum and you seem like such a strong girl.
You should go and fashion sure you mention everything he has told you. It better sooner than later ..
Good luck x
You should be worried. He's ur brother. You should go to the doctor beside him. He might forget to mention the "rock". So if he does you should go and tell the doctor. Hope this helps.
Yes you should go and make sure its mentioned to the doctor. It could be anything, but if it is serious it is better to treat it early a bit than leave it too late.
Yep you go. Tell the doctor without him knowing and then the doctor can look for it.
Yes definitly go,you need to find out as much info from the doctor as possible. He could enjoy picked up a strong stomach bug. But only the doctor can give you the full diagnosis. However despite your late mothers form issues,i dont think it is related in any way possible.
The doctor will transmit you everything you need to know.
Hope this Helps
Good luck && All the best/ Hope ur bro gets well soon!!
You should go.
Go beside him, hes only young and could do with support and you can verbalize to the doctor if he leaves things out.
I hope hes ok :)
Ok, yes i would go beside him to the docs if i was you as he is only 8 and just so that you will know that adjectives the symptoms have been reported to the doc, i do understand how worrying it is for you as i lost my mum to cancer and to be honest i don't contemplate the fear of cancer ever leaves you when you have lost a close relative to it, its very strong sometimes to rationalise things to do with health of a loved one but try to be calm as im sure he is babyish and it is likely to be something quite simple wishing you and adjectives your family good health xxx
Don't stress yourself out too much, keep settle down around him, the last thing he'll need is you panic, it'll just panick him. Get him to the docs and tested
e are plenty things it could be, it might not be cancer or even cancer related in the slightest, it could be something simple and easily treated
Good luck
Your brother certainly should be assessed by a physician and, because he is only 8 years old, his Dad or guardian should shepherd him.
accompanying adult needs to present all available information to the physician, including symptoms and descriptions of the discomfort that your brother have experienced along with mention of your Mom's history. If you wish to go along, that's great, a short time ago talk it over with your Dad or guardian.
It is very unlikely that your brother have a serious ailment. Gastrointestinal infections and inflammations are quite common and easily treated. There is an overwhelming chance that he has a routine GI issue and will get better quickly. However, here is a very small possibility of a serious ailment being present, so a thorough and prompt medical evaluation is in writ.
if it should be something serious, the earlier they find it, the better they can treat it.
And try not to worry too much before you own the results.
It might be something harmless.
could be heaps things, but it sounds like diverticulitis. This generally only happen in people in their 40's, but its not unheard of within a child. This could also be irritable bowel syndrome, or gastritis.
ALL OF THESE ARE TREATABLE, so do not worry.
In children born from parents near cancer, they are usually not breastfed. This is by recommendation of the doctor, as the milk has cancer cells within it.
In some of the children who are not breast fed, they acquire lactose intolerance. That is a strong possibility. That is nothing to worry roughly, being that all the things acquired from lactose, can be found surrounded by pill form.
his has been going on for longer than a month, Id suggest its either lactose intolerance, or gastritis. (Gastritis surrounded by children is very rare, but can happen when abused, or depressed.)
If longer, than one and only the physician can tell, as the longer the symptoms have been up, the more possibilities arise, and tests are needed.
Don't feel bleak about this, this is a good sign. A sign of love. Never let it jump. And be proud of yourself. Source(s): I'm a medic in the army.
