Cervical cancer jag ?
i am getting mine this year at school and am not sure if i should take it yet. what is the most serious side affect that i could catch from getting the jag ? and should i take it ?
thanks
Answers: I had it this year and im perfectly fine :)
Well, first of adjectives, it only prevents 4 types of over 100 HPV's.
ervical cancer is caught early, you're not possible to die. It's not a brain tumor or anything that it's preventing.Sure it'd be great to protect yourself from this miniscule little risk, but then look at all the other risks.
There have be many deaths in girls (especially beneath the age of 16) who have recieved the vaccine (it's actually called the gardasil vaccine).
Some girls own recieved the vaccine and are paralized.
t: The exact numbers are in somebody else's answer too]
I would hold off on it until more research is done. A better vaccine may even be created. This option is even better if you're not planning on self sexually active for a little while.
In my opinion, the system is having girls vaccinated with this so it can be tested and take home the government not look so sexist. What if in the future, ethnic group who have recieve the gardasil vaccine are declined papsmears (test for different things in your cervex) because they're smaller quantity likely to have something than another person? We shouldn't spend in dribs and drabs tax dollars on these stupid vaccines but should instead have better testing and take home it available to a larger amount of women!
a jab not a jab and nearby are no major side effects, just a bit of swelling or redness around the arm.
At the worst you might shaky, vomit or have a fever but that is outstandingly unlikely.
I've had one of mine and am having the second one tomorrow.
i enjoy had all three and are terrified of needles.
only side effects i have had are an painful arm which is far better than dying of cervical cancer.
you can have an allergic reaction to it but this is very sporadic and they ask you many questions before appendage to prevent this from happening.
nobody from the schools nearby enjoy had this happen to them.
good luck, you'll be fine!
Do NOT NOT get it!
he case of Gardasil, the world’s first genetically altered vaccine, the evidence stacking up against this vaccine is striking.
As of August 2007, a review of the National Vaccine Information Center revealed the following, quite alarming, statistic about this unnecessary vaccine: 2,207 adverse reaction to Gardasil have been reported. Among them:
ere considered life-threatening
1,385 required a pop in to the emergency room
451 of the girls have not recovered as of July 2007
51 of the girls were disabled
Getting the Facts About HPV
Health care officials and the media are portraying Gardasil as the long-awaited cure for cervical cancer, and they’re describing people that the side effects are minimal.
ver, the side effects of this brand-new vaccine are just beginning to surface, and as time go by, their severity seems to be increasing.
Further, while cervical cancer is a serious issue, it is not the epidemic that the media is portraying it to be.
Finally, remember that HPV is a sexually transmitted disease, which means that it is nearly 100 percent avoidable by modifying your lifestyle habits.
If you have friends of people members who are considering the Gardasil vaccine for their daughter (or son), please forward this video to them so they can make an informed decision.
would u rather risk dying of cervical cancer than taking the *jab*.
the side effects of this don't raison d`être you danger of dying but the cancer you could get will, the side effects are barely nil and will only last for a short moment in time.
I have my first one last month and it was fine.
I have approaching a huge phobia of needles and to be honest it didnt bother me. The side effects are feeling sick, dizzy, faint and you may get a tingly tenderness in your arm but everyone gets that after an injection. It is better to have it in a minute rather than later on because:
a) you dont need to remember when to own it as your school will do that whereas if you did it through your gp you may forget or wont be able to get a apposite enough appointment.
b) it protects you from the two most common forms of cervical cancer. I would rather own this 3 course injection a million times than end up like Jade Goodey.
The ONLY side efect that was more adjectives with the vaccine than the placebo is injection sire reaction . . . I think you can do business with your arm being sore for a couple of days!
More than 1,300 schoolgirls have experienced adverse reactions, girls aged just 12 and 13 enjoy suffered paralysis, convulsions and sight problems after being given the vaccine. Others have suffered suffered from nausea, muscle tenderness, fever, dizziness and numbness. The caveat is to be most effective, the vaccination have to be given before any sexual intercourse, before any exposure to the HPV virus. Even if condoms are used during sex, women can still be infected and never know it. Source(s): four daughters so i done a lot of research on it
First of all its a JAB!
& you can like faint, return with pins & needles in your arm.
Nothing to serious.
funny how i lived all my years in need a cervical cancer vaccination. Is that enough said, or should I go on? Source(s): energy
