A small, zit-like bump on my antenna that's be nearby for a year in a minute... is it skin cancer?
Ok so there is a small, zit-like bump on my nose that has be there for about a year now. The first time I notice it, I tried to pop it, and after a while some white gunk came out and it bled a lot. Then it was gone. But in the order of 3 months later it was back, but not bigger. Just like size it was before (and it's pretty small- you can barely see it on my obverse, only if you're STARING at my nose possibly). Again, I tried to pop it, and the same exact entity happened: white stuff, blood, gone. And once again, 3 months later, it was subsidise. Repeat. Now, I haven't touched it yet but I really want to pop it because it's annoying. But I'm really scared that this may be a type of skin cancer?? Has anyone ever had this giving of thing on their face before??
Answers: My mom had like thing on her fore arm. Persistent pimple type thing. She later get a bruise that was persistent, too, and worried she went to the Dr. He said she have a simple bruise and it would go away. But said she should probably see a dermatologist about the pimple, just above the bruise, probably nought, but if she was worried, go see a Dermatologist.
bruise went away as she be told, but when she finally got in to the dermatologist a few weeks later, she be told THAT WAS cancer. The least invasive, basal cell cancer. Just excised in the office, stitched next to one stitch and that was that.
Any time you have a recurring sore of any type it could be cancer...to be precise one of warning signs. Why worry yourself into cancer (I would) by NOT going to a Dermatologist. GO, GO, GO! Remove all doubt!
What you describe sounds like a sebaceous cyst.
The good news is that in heaps cases they can be prevented and sometimes dealt with without seeing a dermatologist or skilled esthetician. Under no circumstances, however (remember final week’s “3 Skin No-No’s”), should you pick at them to get them to go away. Although the temptation is huge, resist! The hazard of infection and scarring is too great.
It's a very common skin problem and usually goes away on its own. I hold a tiny one on my cheek.
