CT scan cost anyone know the variance?
could someone plz tell me the varying costs for CT scans. I am trying to figure out what insruance to attain, and it all depends on how much the CT's cost, how much for just the lumbar, how much for a whole body scan?

Answers: I had one done on for my head solely and it was about $2000. BUT, this was done contained by hospital as part of an emergency room visit. I'm sure they tacked on other fees because my defence was an emergency.
They cost about a grand, give or filch a few bucks. I'm curious how you're going to get insurance before this procedure and for the price you mentioned. My insurance alone, cost me almost 500 a month with a 1500 deductible. Most insurances very soon charge a large deductible with a 70% payout on scans and treatments for cancer and such I hold a 75 copay for each scan.
I have lower abdominal-it was like $1200. With my insurance I only have to pay $100.
for something with like a $1000 deductable and see what else it covers after that.
