How is a mammogram perform if the woman have extremely small breasts?

One of my sisters was just told by her doctor that a mammogram is needed of her right breast..and she is worried that getting a clear picture wont be possible. She's a 38 A (small, yes..but they've always be small. She tells me the biggest her breasts grew was 40B..after she had her son, but they in a flash went back to A's). Do "A-sized" breasts contain enough tissue/surface nouns to place into the mammography machine?
Answers:     Don't verbs, The technicians are professional and they will know how to adjust the machine. I'm sure they've had a lot smaller or at lowest possible just as small. If there is breast there, they will go and get an accurate picture.
They can image anything, no matter how small. They imaged my axilla (underarm region) within the machine, and I'm thin with no extra podginess, so it was quite the challenge to compress tissue between the paddles.
rtheless, they will own no problem doing your sister's mammogram. This is what these folks do all day, every day. They enjoy dealt with every size of womens' breasts, many times.
We manage! The most important of the 2 view that we perform is the MLO (or side-on picture), which includes the pectoral muscle behind the breast and all the breast tissue within front of it. Everybody's got a pec muscle, no matter what they say! The picture from above (the CC) may be more discomfited, but with patience, and a kind technician, it should be fine.

The compression will be self-conscious, but not painful (if she finds it hurts, make sure she tells the xray tech - she's surrounded by the wrong position). It lasts for about 10 seconds per picture, and the adjectives exam lasts less than 5 minutes.

I wish her best of luck near the procedure (and the results) Source(s): Me - a mammographer for many years!
They do mammograms on men when they are suspicious of breast cancer, so they can do it on your sister.
