If the insulin and medication are not working, you must work with an endocrinologist (no a regular general practitioner) to adjust the medication. You inevitability to keep a written log of everything you eat, and how much insulin you take. You involve to test your sugar before each feast and about two hours later to see if the insulin was adequate. With these written logs, you can look for patterns and this will help the doctor determine how best to adjust you insulin and other meds.

aking insulin doesn't help later you are "non-compliant". that means that YOU are not following your diet, and possibly not following the dosage and timing regiment recommended by your doctor.
Insulin WILL work if your are taking it right. And that means that you MUST be STRICTLY controlling your diet, and getting MUCH MORE exercise.
you MUST control your diet! You can own NO SUGARS, and you must eat a low-carb, high fiber, extra protein diet.
the GOAL of diabetes management is to control the diet and exercise such that the blood sugar can be controlled near minimal medications. if YOU will not control your diet then there is no doctor and no prescription that can help you.
