Freaked out at even slightest possibility of diabetes frequent urination?
HI. Im a healthy 19 year old boy. Starting the very unpaid part of June I began have symptoms out of nowhere one hours of darkness. I was urinating on a very frequent basis. It be usually me just urinating, then feeling the obligation to urinate in small amounts. I went to the urologist, he found no infection, did a sonogram and said everything was fine, but give me cipro, which made me feel totally normal again for about one and a partially weeks. (maybe even 2 weeks). then all of a sudden last week i begin urinating very frequently again. I even have to wake up at dark to go sometimes, which i never do. I have read online Diabetes can cause this. I dont own ANY other symptoms at all. My urologist said he thinks i have overactive bladder and give me detrol which i started yesterday, but i think its rare in someone my age. I dont know if its working or not, but im still going constantly. The item is i have had 2 blood tests done within the past month, one was last week. Wouldnt i own been told if there was a problem markedly? Thats why im kind of happy. Plus noone in any constituent of my immediate or even extended family has have diabetes, and i eat right and am not overweight. What the heck is going on and why did it start out of nowhere!
Answers: Tell me what your glucose levels are on the blood interview. If below one hundred, that's good.
you really call for to see a dr and find out for sure
needs to see you, examine you and study your history
it could be nothing, but it also could be 'something'
At 19 it would most likely be type1 and you would have more symptoms than frequent urination. Extreme thirst/dehydration extreme hunger, blurred delirium and weight loss would be among them. So I seriously doubt it would be diabetes. Just keep following up with your doctor. Best of Luck.
