Am i diabetic my hba1c (uk standards) is 9.2 surely thats not warrant adiabetic diagnoses?

I don't know what the difference is between UK and US standards. I do know that here, surrounded by the US, a 9.2 indicates that you are definitely diabetic and must see a doctor. A few years ago, when my a1c crept up to 8.0, my family-practice doctor said that I now had give or take a few a 200 times greater chance of having a heart attack than a person whose a1c is usual. He refused to treat me for diabetes anymore, and sent me to an endocrinologist (a specialist).
A truly normal A1c is between 4.6% and 5.4%
are not as good a measure of actual blood sugar control surrounded by individuals as they are for groups. An A1c of 5.1% maps to an average blood sugar of 100 mg/dl (5.6 mmol/L) or less when group statistics are analyzed, but normal variation in how our red blood cells work make the A1cs of truly usual individuals fall into a wider range.
Some people's A1cs are always a bit greater than their measured blood sugars would predict. Some are always lower. NOTE: If you are anemic your A1c will read much lower than your actual blood sugars and the resulting A1c is not a useful gauge of your actual blood sugar control.
I would say you are definately diabetic. And if your doctor did not explain to you its time to change doctors. He should have ordered more tests.

our fasting blood sugalr is more than 120 and youra postprandial is more than 140 you are diabetic.
you have to preserve your HBa1c below 6 % above 7 is diabetes.
good luck
It would warrant further testing by your doctor. S/he will probably refer you for a GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test). This test will determine how capably you body copes with a sudden influx of glucose (sugar).
