150+ Is it ordinary blood sugar after a breakfast time?

I'm not a diabetes; family history is not. Random test range between 80 to 96. But if I ate a teatime with a lot of carb and sweet stuffs, it could spike to 150+ 1 hr after meal; down to 90 to 101 after 2 hrs. 3+ hrs down to around 80+. Normal suppertime with salad and chicken, BG is around 90-96.
thy, excercise daily 30-45 minutes, no high blood pressure. Reading the Internet, ordinary reading after a meal is below 140. Should I be concern? Two fasting blood tests 3 months apart, blood sugar reading be 93. My primary Dr. said not to worry.

Is 150+ after a meal normal?
Answers:     Yes it is. Normally it does not go under 140 BUT home glucose meters are often 20 pts sour. So you prob. weren't exactly 150 you were prob. lower than that but home meters are not as accurate. All your other readings are normal so I wouldn't verbs. especailly if your Dr. said not to worry...I am sure they know what they are talking about. So yes your 150 after a breakfast time is normal! :-)
Yes it is.
carbs you intake at that meal hit your blood stream right away, thus increasing your blood sugar levels. It takes going on for 20-30 minutes for your pancreas to process your body's natural insulin and reduce your blood sugar levels.

The singular time you need to be concerned about blood sugar levels is 2 hours after a buffet and it reading 150+.
That's ordinary, it usually takes me 2 hours to get back to commonplace so your fine!
