Am I at risk for a heart attack?

I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse in '04, I be having periodic "heart flutters". After quitting smoking and coffee it stopped. Now, for the last 4 days, my heart have been "skipping?" every 15-30 minutes. It is scary! I think I be told Mitral Valve Prolapse is nothing to worry about, massively common. Is that true? Am I going to have a heart attack?
Answers:     See a Doctor you idiot! Seriously. Hmmm my arm just fell off, I'll check DiseasesFAQ.com to see if thats a problem, arbitrary internet people will know what to do.
Well, it depends what you mean by a heart attack. If you mean a clogged artery, after you may be safe. It depends on your cholesterol, your build up, your levels of inflammation.
ou mean have your heart go into a bad rhythm where your heart quits hitting effectively, then perhaps - but, you're probably safe. You are credible having PVC's, premature ventricular contractions. These are usually benign.

You should be making an appointment with a cardiologist right away to get an ECG and echocardiogram. Without these test, we can't answer your questions here.

have need of a heart pacemaker most likely
ask a doctor and I think you might. Dont smoke. Every one you smoke, you lose 11 minutes of your life
You could be at risk. See your doctor.

Technically, a heart attack is caused by problems (usually blockage) of vessel supplying blood to the heart. This results in a section of heart muscle being starved. The booth of heart muscle affected often dies. This normally is not related to mitral spigot prolapse.

But, you requirement to see your doctor to have an electrocardiogram done, and to sort these out.
It's possible, but I would see a cardiologist just to be sure.
