It's taking too long!!?
I was going to UA for radiologic technician and had all my pre-requ. done. It be now time to get accepted into a radiology university. But of course every school I tried only own 20 seats and there are usually 100's of people putting nearby apps. in so chances are slim to none getting in on first try, and I enjoy tried several schools with the same results. My grades are wonderful because you are required to hold no less than a 3.0 GPA to apply to any of the schools, so thats not the problem. So I talked to my advisor at UA and she told me to primarily find another school or change majors. She said that is what she have been advising all the rad. students because of adjectives the apps. being submitted. So now I am enrolled within Medical Assisting Program and luckily most of my classes transferred. But my heart is still with rad. tech. So is it possible to start working as a med. assist. and have the hospital or whatever medical organization I end up working train me to be a rad. tech. or ultrasound tech. without having to stir to a college for it and still get the same salary as someone who did run to school?

On-the-job training isn't really an chance when it comes to being an RT as you must be fully trained to operate machinery designed to release radiation. Some states have limited licensure exams but you still hold to attend some training to become competent to take the exam.
