Why is my heart race after drinking alcohol?

Last night I went out and had an alcohol I've never have before - "alcoholic soda with guarana". I only have like 7 standard drinks worth and it completely tripped me out. Anyway my heart has been race, about 115 beats per minute ever since (I finished drinking about 14 hours ago) and it's starting to freak me out. I have no alcohol in my body at 7am when I woke (my friend has a breathalyzer) so it's not that...

ll out dude, your heart rate probably just got elevated cuz you werent used to that mixture. It should drop down to normal by its own.
Drinking can trigger heart problems no matter your age.
Depending on how frequently you drink, it could be a touch of alcohol poisoning.
I have it 10 years ago and spent 2 days in the hospital feeling terrible beside the racing heart. From going out two weeks straight and only drinking 3-5 drinks nightly. I do not drink anything anymore.
I was enormously healthy and liked to party.
I would freak too! Have. But I went to the hospital and I'm glad I did. It took me a few weeks to feel typical.
Heart attacks can be induced by alcohol, even in your teens.
Alcohol ETOH is a vasodialator. Meaning it open the blood vessels and that in turn lowers blood pressure and then your heart rate compensates and go up too.

Or you have an allergy to Alcohol or the Guarna is the problem.
are probably dehydrated too after 7 drinks. Gets some water to relieve flush you out. These new drinks with stimulants in them are not as cool as nation think. Although I do love Redbull and Vodka lol

Just relax.

ough it's beating fast, 115 is nil to be worried about. If you get over 130 then you should jump to the hospital

Why?
Drinking is not good for you
Try to do meditation breathing to stop it. Breathe in for 3 seconds, breathe out for 3 second. Do this laying down to help you relax. Try to take longer breaths respectively time if you can. Make sure your belly is expanding more then your chest. Breathing with your chest does not allow your lungs to reach size, making it easier for you to hyperventilate. Expand your lungs, open up your diaphragm.

Dont drink anything with caffeine until you'vee got it beneath control.

Oh, and i'd stop drinking so much.
Take a melt bath. Relax.
