I have a C-Section end week, and notice contained by the hospital my heart rate dropped from 95 resting bpm to 60 bpm.?

Before pregnancy I was tachycardic with a resting heartrate of 90-95 bpm. After my spinal anesthesia, my heartrate dropped into the 60's and stayed that way throughout my hospital stay. Nurses stated that be fine, but I don't think they understood that I was tachycardic BEFORE pregnancy. After discharge from the hospital, my heartrate plummeted to 38-44 bpm. I visit my doc and was immediately sent to be admitted to the local hospital. I be put through a series of tests, bloodwork to check all enzyme levels and to check for blood clots or heart attacks, Echocardiogram to look adjectives all parts of my heart. EKG's, cardiovascular ultrasounds...you name it, I think I have the test performed. All tests be normal. The cardiologist and other docs could not tell me what is wrong, only what isn't wrong. They discharged me dictum that this could be due to the birth and hormone levels. My question is this: does anyone have experience near this sort of thing? When I left the hospital, my heartrate was within the 60's and now it keeps getting a little lower down contained by the 50's. I feel fine, no shortness of breath, or any other symptoms. Any ideas? I am 31 by the way
Answers:    heart rate commonly does increase (by about 10-20bpm) in pregnant ladies, particularly contained by the 3rd trimester. so, 90-95 bpm is not too fast. a known side effect of the spinal anesthesia is a slow heart rate and also decreased blood pressure...a heart rate within the 60s during anesthesia sounds okay too.
n't really know what could be going on with your 38-44 bpm, except maybe you had some sort of increased vagal response?

if you be aware of fine and your heart rate is between the 50s and 60s, then it sounds like you're pretty much back to mundane. you should be more concerned about dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, etc.
