Should I still get the impression extra or skipped heart beat immediately that I enjoy a pacemaker?
I am 32. I had a pacemaker inserted 9 days ago dt second degree and at times complete AV block after an ablation for SVT's. When I bend forward even in a seated position, sometimes when lay supine, and often when climbing stairs or hills I am feeling extra beat or skipped beat sensations or flutters. Is this normal? What causes it? I hold a dual chamber boston scientific pm.
Answers: Well you have had an interesting time !
s fine to get the impression odd beats. The pacemaker is there single to prompt your heart to beat when it gets too slow. A few extra beats are not a problem although I can know that it may be disconcerting.
Now you have the pacemaker you can look forward to a safer life, and hopefully the odd beat may become less noticeable to you over time. Source(s): Dr
