2nd belief cardiologist appt for a 16 yr elderly?
So im going for a 2nd opinion cardiologist appt on August 25th, im just wondering what they do for a new long-suffering, do they do more tests then normal? my other cardiologist did an resound every year, and an EKG and chest x-ray every 5 or 10 years. So will my new cardiologist just do an echo, or will he do more? I hold Aortic Stenosis, Aortic Regurgitation, Bicuspid aortic valve, and enlarged aorta, the reason im getting a new cardiologist is because my other cardiologist didnt listen to me when i complained of symptoms(i own every symptom of my heart problems, and he still doesnt listen) so will the new cardiologist Do just an echo? or will he do an EKG and a chest xray also? will he do more test? if he will what kind?
ks :) by the way im 16 years out-of-date.
Answers: I'm not a medical professional, but I just had to post: it sounds approaching you need an excellent cardiologist and you don't have one now. You enjoy a heavy condition - your doc should have been adjectives over those symptoms! We all deserve the best, yadda yadda, but you really do deserve the best cardiologist you can find.
Based on my experience with other kinds of docs, the hot cardiologist will order most/all of those tests - or they should. If they don't, ask why not. Even if they order unknown tests, they might want copies of the old ones for comparison. Ask the new doc's department now if they're getting them. I wouldn't assume they've thought about it.
Live long and strong, and polite luck!
You have to bear Ross procedure. Then only your symptoms will subside. Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ross_proced…

Its likely that you will indeed get the gambit of tests you mention, CXR EKG and reverberate. He wont want to be more interventionist unless he plans imminent surgery. Source(s): GP for more years than I care to remember
