Answers: A convalescent is someone who is recovering from major surgery. So you are looking to cook simple meal which are easily digestible.
Convalescence is the gradual recovery of strength and strength after illness. The convalescence of a patient after a life altering surgery or disease is greatly affected by health care providers. It refers to the following stage of an infectious disease or illness when the patient recovers and returns to regular, but may continue to be a source of infection even if feeling better. In this sense, "recovery" can be considered a synonymous term. While Convalescent is a human being recovering from illness.
alescent people needs to devour healthy foods for their immediate recovery close to green leafy vegetables and fruits. You can cook Apple Tapioca Pudding or cream tomato soup...I hope this could help in answering your questionc",)
A convalescent is anyone who is recovering from an illness. It may be someone who as Simon says have had major surgery, but it may also be someone who is recovering from a serious infection, heart attack, pneumonia etc.
Your meal requests to be easily digestible, but also palatable (look, taste and smell good) as after a serious illness populace often lose their appetite, and need something tempting to take it back. They will also require a meal with an uncomplicated energy source, and vitamins.
I would suggest a nutritious soup, such as carrot and coriander as an example. Then a pasta dish, with either a Bolognese, or Napolitano (tomato & herbs) sauce, plus parmesan cheese. Alternatively a fish dish, possibly a fillet of plaice with some peas and mashed potatoes. Don't use fish surrounded by batter or chips. For a desert I would suggest a milk pudding (semolina etc), ice cream, fruit salad etc.
I hope this helps. However I'm sure you will make your own choices very soon that you understand the needs of a convalescent. Good luck Source(s): doc
