Alcohol and increase surrounded by heart rate?
Why does my pulse increase 120-130bpm when I drink beer or wine. I get heart palpation's or I guess what is called angina but only when I drink alcohol. This started almost 6 months ago I rarely drink anymore.
Answers: Alcohol causes stimulation and therefore your B/P rises and for that pretext i advise cessation from it period! God Bless!
Take ECG and consult a cardiologist. The regular pulse rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute. Source(s): http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/…

Alcohol is intially a stimulant. There's a clear connection between alcohol consumpution and tachycardia in some family. it's called alcohol induced tachycardia. Hard liquor, beer and wines all work to contract your veins and arteries.
