How is my blood pressure?!?

is 130/90 and 130/80 a good blood pressure?

s high on the diastolic ( the bottom # ).
IDK around that disqualifying you though.
It is an OK Pressure but man that you want to go into the Military i would think that you would be young and pretty alive. they say 120/80 is normal but 110/70 is really what you are shooting for. Yours is in the Pre-Hypertensive stage. With a few modifications of diet and exercise you could drop your BP fund down into the healthy stage. Quit smoking if you do and drink a lot of water throughout the light of day.Should be all good. Thanks for wanting to support our country.SF Paramedic Pete
No, you won't be disqualified (you are at the low end of soaring normal and it's not a number of any real concern). Systolic blood pressure (the first number) is so inconstant that a minor elevation of 130 rather than 120 is meaningless. If your BP was measured alternating on both arms while either lying down, sitting or standing up, you would enjoy gotten different numbers each time (also the reading would be different with your arm positioning). Normal is considered 120/80 to 130/90 and soaring normal is 130/90 to 140/90 (140/90 is the very beginning of mild hypertension). Many populace see a rise in their blood pressure when it is being taken for a variety of reason (being in a dr.'s office, worrying about the result, wanting to achieve out quickly to do something else, incorrect body/arm positioning/posture during the reading, having consumed some caffeine earlier, etc.) and this is impeccably normal. Some doctors take it two times: when you've first come in and using different arms, and also after you've talk with him and had a chance to relax. My bp runs low and I've hit that number (which is soaring for me, nothing really to be concerned about) when I've first walked into a doctor's office. He take it later on, and it's 100 or 90 over 60 something or 50 something (I told you it was low). I wouldn't be worried about the reading being higher than the average normal (if you've have your blood pressure taken several times and were he concerned, your physician would have advised you to net any dietary or life changes in command to prevent high blood prevent such as watching salt intake, reducing stress, increasing exercise, losing weight if essential, limiting alchohol, etc.). Don't bother with the at home bp machines...they're usually inaccurate and you can take one reading after another and capture different results each time. So, don't worry about the in the order of the numbers, but no, you won't be disqualified. Another answerer to your question needs to calm down, though (lol).
Ideal is 120/80 so I would say that yours is pretty good.
