150/80 blood pressure, is it run of the mill?

My mother is 59 and her BP is 150/80. Is that normal for her age?
Answers:    JCH had honourable information, but also it is normal in the sense that as we age most people hold high blood pressure. it goes up incrimentally and correlates with age. And depending on her other conditions, it may not be unusual. its still high though and requires medical treatment.
Your mother has got Hypertension (Stage-1). Systolic blood pressure (SBP) is large.

No. Over 140/90 is hypertension requiring treatment, and puts her at increased risk for heart attacks and strokes, particularly at her age. She should see her doctor for evaluation - she's probably out of date for a great deal of screening studies too if she doesn't see a doctor at least annually.
thats a bit high you need her to start drinking red juice
