Bacterial Vaginosis from b/f's "prostate infection"?
I've been sleeping with my boyfriend for 1.5 years. We're 100% faithful to respectively other. I've never had ANY problems with Bacterial Vaginosis before sleeping beside him; was first diagnosed 3 months after we started having sex.
e sleeping with him 1.5 years ago, I've be diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis 5-6 times! Most doctors I've seen tell me that it's not spread through sex next to my boyfriend, so he does not need to be treated -- only I do... but I've gotten it back shortly after person treated (either that or it's just not going away).
I just saw a different doc today (a male gyno) who told me that at this point, he's PRETTY SURE my boyfriend is the one ratification BV to me. He said he probably has an **infection in his prostate** so every time he ejaculates contained by me, I get the BV back again. He said he should see a doc before we hold sex again and be treated.
I would have no problem sending him off to the doctor, but he does not own medical insurance... (and may be told by the doctor that he doesn't have a prostate infection/doesn't need to be treated/cannot pass BV to me).
**Has anyone hear of a prostate infection (with or without symptoms) being the likely do of chronic BV??** I've tried Googling, but haven't found anything.
Thank you!!
Answers: I looked it up there was nothing on a prostate infection and BV. Maybe you both should be treated at alike time. Perhaps before he met you he had an STI and didn't know it and keeps ratification it back to you. Even if he doesn't have insurance he should be seen and screen for STI's. Then you can eleminate that or treat it if he does. You cannot keep having these infections because it can cause other more serious problems over time. Good Luck! Samissa
