Why isn't my UTI going away?

I was diagnosed with a UTI over a week ago, and I was put on Septra. I simply have two more days of taking the pills, but I don't think it's gotten rid of my UTI. I'm still having trouble urinating, have pain, and being just plain miserable.
d this indicate something more serious?
Answers:    hang around till you completely finished your medications and if you still feel the same afterwards contact your doctor.. it might just be that the medications is taking time to kick within... Source(s):
I have UTI for the 3rd time now, and I'm on very strong antibiotics which be prescribed after making urine tests. The results shown big infection and the infection is already immune to half of the existing antibiotics.

Maybe you took some antibiotics before (for some other illness) and in a minute the infection has no reaction to this kind. You should run some more detailed test to find out which antibiotics are able to kill the thing which is cause the problem.

Take care, because it's very hard to carry rid of UTI and it might get back any time... :-s
