How long does swine flu virus live on your hand?

If you touch a surface on which there is swine flu virus, how long does the virus live on your hand?
Answers:
I believe influenza viruses can survive just about 24 hours outside a host, although I'm not an expert on that.
They will survive at least until you wash your hands, but after that, lately regular soap will have gotten rid of them. Source(s): microbiology classes
