A possible lip ring infection (Pictures)?

I have had my lip ring for 7 months (Left Lip Ring) .Today I woke up and it was really swollen. It have a bit of crust on it so i'm not sure if it is or not. My mom wants me to take it off because she think it looks purple, she thinks it's going to end up like cancer. I don't wanna loose this ring any...

Answers:    well i just got mine done a week ago and it is similar to red and has stuff around it too but no one thinks its infected but i suggest you should google signs of infections cause i google about mine and they site i went on said that blush and scabbing is normal but since you got yours done 7 months ago you should google it Source(s): hope it helps
