A ethnic group applicant have suspected swine flu... can I move about out?
Hi,
mily member has not be very well since Thursday (it is now Monday), we ring the doctors today and they have prescribed her some Tamiflu (suspected Swine Flu).
I was supposed to be going to Wales to visit friends on Wednesday... what should I do?
How long would it take for me to find it? Should I stay home just in case?
Answers: If by wednesday you have the slightest tempreture rise or any other symptoms eg. Headache, cough, diaherea, nausea and vomiting, sore throat or tender muscles dont go. However if you keep washing your hand, make the sufferer sneeze into a tissue etc and keep the house hygenic you will be able to shift.
If you haven't experienced not one of the symptoms by wednesday they i would say your pretty not detrimental to go still, but if you have even one of the symptoms to be on the safe side i would stay at home, variety sure to try and keep your distance from the person with swine flu, also regular appendage wash and make sure the swine flu person have a constant supply of tissues for them to sneeze into, dont drink anything after they have out of the same container and you should be fine.
Why risk it? If you are worried more or less it stay home. That kind of "I feel fine, I must not have it" thinking is what spreads pandemics so far and yawning.
being said, it's the flu. Yes it sucks. Most people will live through it. Just like any other flu those that are immunocompromised, markedly young or very old and own little to no access to advanced medical care are going to have problems. What makes the Swine Flu worse is that healthcare be unprepared for it. No vaccine was ready (as it usually is for the "regular" flu) to prevent it in the glorious risk groups, and so it is spreading to those people.
It is up to you, but if you are truely worried, just stay home.
