High restlessness no other symptoms?
My daughter woke up this morning with high fever 99.8, we give her some tylenol and it went down. She was feeling pretty in good health so we decided to send her to school, but 2 hours after that we get a call from the school nurse saying she have 104 fever, so they gave her both tylenol and ibuprofen, went down to 102. She kept have fever all day long , between 98.9 and 100. We call the doctor and they said there`s no need to bring her in, because they would do the same article we did, tylenol and ibuprofen.
She has no other symptoms, she ate during the day, had plenty of ginger juice, she is 4 and a half years old, any planning? This is driving me crazy ! Why isn`t the fever going down? I tried google, but no real good answers.
Gosh! Take her to the ER if its not better by the morning. Do not give her any medicine until you take her warmth.
104 is very dangerous for a 4 year old.
If it persists by morning, or get worse tonight, take her to the ER. Why take a change next to your baby. Have her sleep with you so you can observe her closely. Maybe the hallucination will break tonight. I sure hope so. Good luck to you -
Give her a cool bath and continue beside the tylenol or ibuprofen. If she isn't coughing or has a headache I'd treat like the flu bug. Then just verbs giving the medication to help the fever come down. Sometimes the flu bug lasts a few days or more. As long she is a moment ago hanging around that temp that's all you can do. If it lasts longer than a few days bring her to the doctor. The cool tub really helps bring a fever down quickly. Offer her some chicken broth or jello, popsicles or formulate some scrambled eggs and toast. Sometimes you have to allow the flu bug to play its coarse and be done with it.
