(Probably a stupid question) almost the swine flu?

I don't want to sound like an idiot but does anyone know what other species other than humans that might be artificial by this? I remembered reading that certain illnesses can actually cross between animals and humans and get pets sick.

Answers:     pigs becaus the phrase swine is from pigs, they started it
They believe that the flu was an amalgam of Human Flu, Bird FLu and Pig Flu. And they reckon that the pig was close to an "oven". That all of these flu's mixed inside the pig, to create the swine flu. (That's where it gets its given name from).
