Will yer ear gain infected from departing a sanctuary pin contained by it too long?

I put safety pins in my ear every now and next, but if I leave it in for weeks at a time, will it get infected?
I don't know if this matter; but my ears arent pierced
Answers:     Used to do it myself (out of boredom) just normal ones but i other heated them with my lighter first never had any problems and that was the top quantity of my ear.Might do it again later.
I don't know what exactly you would want to have a safekeeping pin chillin in yer ear for, but whatevers clever. It's probably not the best idea to pierce your ear with a sanctuary pin, but if you do, boil it first. You should, (in theroy) be able to leave it in similar to you could an earring. As far as infection goes, i would assume your odds are a little worse doing it your self as refute to a professional job, but it would probably be ok.
I remember you mentioned something about hypoallergenic and actually that's what I was going to read aloud is the safer way to go. I've heard stainless steel is pious too, but I'd say definitely at least hypoallergenic sanctuary pins are safer and it would probably be safer if you had someone professionally pierce it for you. It's not any less Punk to hold someone do that for you and I have friends in bands that in truth have jobs doing that and tattooing as well. Also I've have four piercings for years now, one in one ear, two in the other and a antenna piercing, although I think piercing my nose's septum would've been better-
Anyway I was going to right to be heard though, much it's safer to get your piercings professionally done and if I recall they gave me a solution to use around the piecing hole to hold it from getting infected. I believe some kind of iodine helps.

I will say one grounds why it's wiser to get professional piercing done is because not just because of mild infections but because people can take infections as serious as hepatitis or a more serious version of it like Aids if people are using an grimy needle. Be very very tight-fisted not to use dirty needles or pins to pierce any part of your body, because things like that it isn't worth getting sick or dying over. I don't mean to alarm you, but I'm simply saying it's better to be safe than sorry.
As long as you clean the safety pin first and after clean your ear with rubbing alcohol 3 times a day, you should be fine, it is adjectives about keeping them clean.
