Are my workplace allowed to force me to go to work and threaten me if i dont go in even IF i could get hold of somebody to look after her is there a threat to somebodys elses health and the risk of it spreading? is it worth ringing nhs direct will they have the answers?
Answers: After 24 hours of antibiotics the disease isn't spreadable. But since swine flu is a serious case, I would recommend waiting 48 hours without any contact from outside populace. Your work wont let you take 2 personal days? Or sick days? You could sue them.....
In my personal view the swine flu is just a scare tactic. Its a bad flu but if your over the age of 5 and lower than the age of 70 im sure you will live and wash your hands. Aside from that it would probably be best if you kept your child from going to school for a while to lower the risk of spreading infection.
If you have a feeling that your child is sick enough that you should not go to work then shouldn't hand down her at home alone. Perhaps explaining to your boss the "severity" of the situation. If they dont see it as a situation worth caring about and if you think your daughter is alright on her own after im sure everything will be all right.
