A Cold, The Flu or Swine Flu?
I woke up on thursday morning feeling absolutely horrible. I had a sore throat, stiff collar, my muscles were aching and I felt close to I was going to vomit. As they day went on it didn't find any better, and on friday it was exactly the same. It is now saturday afternoon, and I am sense a tiny bit better, I no longer have a stomach ache, but I still feel horrible. Some other symptoms are: runny nose, cough & I have had a touch bit of blood in my phlegm.

Swine Flu Symptoms
rding to the CDC, like seasonal flu, symptoms of swine flu infections can include:
* fever, which is usually giant, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent
* cough
* sore throat
* body ache
* headache
* chills
* diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu
Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.
u become infected with the flu virus, you will usually feel symptoms one to four days following. Some of the more common flu symptoms include fever, muscle aches, dry cough, and sore throat. People repeatedly confuse cold symptoms with those of the flu. However, cold symptoms are usually milder and don't last as long.
Although nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea can lead flu symptoms, especially in children, gastrointestinal symptoms rarely occur. The weakness that people call "stomach flu" is not influenza (the flu).
rest, drinking plenty of fluids, and taking aspirin or acetaminophen to relieve pain and restlessness. Source(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wK1127fH…

This doesn't sound similar to swine flu to me. Everyone seems to be ignoring the fact you mention some blood contained by this phlegm. Most likely this might be from either some blood or secondary pneumonia signs. Please verbs to check for this and try drinking more water. About 10 glasses daily. This help loosen any phlegm that could be accumulating in the lungs so you can bring it up more easily. The strain this puts on your immune system requirements to be kept in check too. Chicken soup is not just a myth either, it help by warming the congestion in the sinus area and chest. Try a restlessness reducer and an antihistamine if available. Make sure when blowing your nose you do so carefully to prevent any veins from bleeding. Block one nostril and humanely blow any thin mucus out and repeat with the other side. Try anything that has added calcium contained by it too. Be careful with OJ though. The acid might be too much right very soon, the same for grapefruit juice. Try these suggestions and if any symptoms like the restlessness or blood gets worse, please seek medical attention from any 24 hr. facility you prefer. Make sure that someone can take you too. Please don't try driving until you quality better. Good luck and God Bless
