Been dizzy for 5 days (swine/normal FLU)?

I have all the symptoms of flu (swine flu etc), headaches, runny trunk, sore throat, sneezing, coughing, achy neck and upper body - minus a high temperature, which is on and past its sell-by date. I rang the doctors yesterday and they said just to ride out the symptoms with ordinary paracetamol/ibuprofen and that they cant tell whether i've had it or not, but as i don't suffer from heart problems or asthma, it would be mild.
whats making everything worse is this dizziness (that isn't a symptom i don't think) that is clouding everything and making me discern 10 times worse. I feel light-headed and weak.

i was wondering if anyone else have experienced this dizziness and wondering what it was a part of and what makes it be in motion away!!?

Thanks
Answers:     A cold in the head would make you lightheaded , but to be sure phone the free NHS robustness line and tell them about the dizziness ok ,NHS 24 Hours ,,08454647.
sounds like swine flu. I have it too :(
The whole paracetamol does not work though. I've be taking that and Ibuprofen for the past 4/5 days and nothings improved... and if it is swine flu you cant get the tamiflu as youve have it for over 72hours
The dizziness could be caused by fatigue, dehydration, high or low blood pressure or temperature..you really do hold to keep up your fluid intake when you have flu and you also need to rest. As you hold been ill for five days you should call your g.p. again and ask for treatment, you are entitled to it, and if you are refuse again then tell the person you are speaking to that as you enjoy no way of knowing precisely what is wrong with you or if it is mild or not, you will come to surgery and let the doctor resolve and explain how ill you are and if he or she ought to be doing anything about it. You might also like to explain to the receptionist that "turn away and don't bother us " is not a standard form of patient care. If you do end up going to the surgery next get a lift..no matter how close it may be, wrap up reheat and wear a mask or a scarf over your mouth and nose but do not be bullied into accepting no care at adjectives!
If any one desires info on swine flu on what to do and how to avoid also signs and symptom please ask...
Dizzy? You wouldn't happen to be blond by any chance??
