Swine flu- UK- high-ranking rates of infection?

Why is britain having such a large number of swine flu infections when compared to the rest of europe or indeed other countries the same size/population.
rest of western europe does not own rates like the UK , why is this, their populations and density are around the same, all countries surrounded by this area are full of `well travelled` people who go on holiday out of the country.

Is the government failing, is cannot just be a unique piece there must be a cause.
Answers:    Ah, but how do we know the 100.000 people "near swine flu" actually have it or is it just doctors over react and handing out tamiflu to be on the safe side. Have all these population actually had blood tests to prove they hold it?

t;Why has the UK been more affected than other countries?

The UK have a comprehensive flu surveillance system, hence more cases may be identified in the UK than in other countries with smaller quantity comprehensive monitoring services.

As the UK was artificial earlier than some other countries the infection has spread to a higher number of population." BBC
