Do cats suffer from Alzheimer's?
my 18 year cat went out and and never came home for four days so i put up posters and she was surrounded by a neighbours garden not that far away i think she forgotten where she lives
Answers: yes they can get it at 10 years my did i own some one cat live in my back garden who live a cross the way she go missing 4 years ago on this person and turn up in my gardren 6 months ago but they want her but she dos not remberthem so how i feed her she just about 14
LOL, sorry that made me smile. I am not a cat expert by any means, but cats often do this from time to time. Lucy go missing for a week once, where she went is beyond me. I came home from work sometime and she was sitting there with a mouse surrounded by her mouth (a present for me I guess!) Cats are very much their own person, they are very independent and essentially do as they please.
ou are concerned take her to the vet, not sure what they can do though. Also, she is getting on a bit if she is 18, I suppose cats can develop dementia. It's unlikely she forgot where she lives.

He was put to sleep back in march past. He was 13 and 1/2 years old.
Cats just approaching to wander. Although, i'd get her checked out by a vet to confirm your suspicion's. We had a 19 year old-fashioned cat, he liked to walk, but slept pretty much most of the time. If she does, she maybe better mortal kept indoors.
