Been Sent Home from Work because of Swine Flu?
To clarify, my partner recently came into contact with someone who have Swine Flu (whilst we were off work for a week), anyway she returned to work 6 days later (monday) and she mentioned the reality that she had come into contact with someone who had swine flu and her superiors sent her home immediiately and be told not to come back for the rest of the week even though she was perfectly in good health. She spent the next 6 days at home perfectly healthy however she be told that she would not be paid for any time off she has have even though she was fine!
a dodgy one but surely she should be paid for this seeing as it was er superiors choice to distribute her home when she was perfectly well?

Answers: Yes you are correct. Is she a member of any union? If her Employers forced her to take time stale work (and it was not her choice) then she should be paid full repay. If your wife is a member of a union then she should whip it up with them or put a letter in writing to her employer.
