Sore throat next to white bump?

A couple days ago, I felt really under the weather. Dizzy and very VERY tired, even feel feverish. Didn't wake up until almost 2pm. Now, last dark and this morning, my throat has started to hurt. I've had strep so many times and beside different symptoms. This time, I had one white bump on the back, but has disappeared after I ate for a time. Could it have gotten popped or maybe burst? My throat still hurts and glands are still swollen. My son has have it with no symptoms, and so have I. I guess getting a culture would be the best thing to do, correct?
Answers:    Could be tonsillitis shift and see your doctor you might need antibiotics
