I own be on Xanax since 2004 and be switched to .05 mg. of Klonopin, later my doctor increased my Klonopin?
My doctor now increased my Klonopin to 1 mg 3 x daily. I have found that since I'm not on my Xanax, I'm much more hostile, enjoy more panic attacks than I've ever had when I was on Xanax, but they don't want to budge, because it's addicting. Since Xanax have always worked for me, I think the doctor(s) should keep me on it and not switch me to another drug such as Klonopin which does not work one and the same way Xanax does.
Answers: Wow, that's a hard one. Your doctor's are trying to get you without risk off xanax without you going through many days of delirium and worse. Just poke about xanax detox and see what I'm talking about. I didn't have to rummage through it because I've been there. The problem with human being on xanax for so long, even if your doctors are willing to prescribe it, is that it's so addicting. We build up a tolerance, and that leads to higher dosage, and poof we're addicted. If you get into a car accident, they wouldn't give it to you contained by the hospital. They may not even believe you were taking it. It happened to my spouse, and even when I brought them the prescription bottles, they wouldn't give do it. It cause a stroke, and it was downhill from there.
opin is safer, so maybe it's time for you to seize some counseling help to deal with the symptoms that get you on xanax in the first place. I'm guessing that you had panic attacks, anxiety and I don`t know the hostility way back after. They don't prescribe it much for anything besides anxiety and panic attacks. A counselor or therapist can teach you tools to agreement with the symptoms, and then you will have the skills to overcome them. You will have a feeling more powerful and less dependent, which is always a good point. Feel better soon. Source(s): personal experience &
