13 years dated, i chew over i own OCD?
I'm 13, and I think I have OCD but when i tell my parents they of late don't believe me. When I'm on my laptop I have to repeatedly touch the whole surface of the track pad. When I'm watching a video on youtube, I usually hold to move the mouse over the whole video screen, if you know what I mean, close to...to make it touch the whole area of the blind... also, this is what bothers me the most, I can kind of "see" the rim of my glasses, and I have to look over and underneath them a certain amount of times when I look at things. It really gets in the instrument... I also have to kind of "outline" things with my eyes... i lately don't know what to do, i've been searching for self-treatments..please help?
Answers: Try avoiding things that trigger your ritualistic behaviors. Spend set amount of time on the computer. Try taking off your glasses when you don't need them, or capture contacts. Try to get involved in an activity to pilfer your mind off of things. Really the best way to stop it is mind over matter and avoiding things that mete out ritualistic behaviors. If your parents are not giving your problem the attention you reason it deserves, try talking to another adult who you trust, maybe an aunt/uncle/teacher/etc...Explain to them what is going on and that you are suffering and want to acquire help. At this point you'll probably talk to your family doctor or possibly a psychiatrist.
