how do i help a friend stop cutting herself other than describing someone.
i dont want her parents knowing bcus im sure she will get sent to a therapist or some mental hospital..her parents are people to overexaggerate toooo much. what do i do?
Answers: bring all the stuff she uses to cut herself and hide them
Be understanding and try to talk to her about why she cuts herself. Usually citizens who cut themselves are doing so because they fell that they have no control over their own life. Telling them to stop will seem approaching you are taking away the one thing they have control of. Try to amount out what in her life she has no control over. If you are trully worried in the region of your friend then maybe you should tell someone though. But I wouldn't convey her parents. Tell a teacher or another trusted adult. Telling her parents may result in them a moment ago yelling and not seeking professional help. By telling a guru, she is more likely to get professional help as very well as her parents finding out. Good luck to you and your friend. Source(s): my life.
Are you stupid or something? self injury is a mental problem and you HAVE to tell someone. What do you mean that's over reacting? Your friend will verbs to do this until she finds help, and she probably told you or showed you in the first place as a cry for help and WANTS you to detail someone. You should do the right thing and help her before it get serious. Source(s): I used to suffer from self injury
if shes cutting herself I think therapy might give a hand something must be hurting her a lot to make her physically cut herself try talking to her and getting her , herself to realize she requirements help if this doesn't work try to maybe talk to one of her parents but its risky you friend may attain mad at you but in the end its worth it if she get better.
there is no over exaggerating when it comes it comes to someone hurting themselves. If she doesn't get some help in the future it could go too far, and be too late.
That's tough; her parents are probably part of the problem...
cutters have some very serious issues and the right entry to do is to tell her parents. If she is in school you could put in the picture the nurse or a counselor. How about asking your parents what to do?
The worse thing you could do is nothing at adjectives!
in good health... obviously she needs help.
Get her some assistance.
Ask her why she is adjectives herself and try to sort out the problem, if she continues to self harm you're going to have to tell someone for her own safekeeping
there is a great helpline called 18OO-DONTCUT or goagainst i think the website it is so try to google it because i think my spelling is wrong but those are great resources i hope your friend gets better
Remind her that she is not a unique snowflake and to grow the f*ck up.
The best thing you can possibly do?
someone.
I wasted 4 years of my enthusiasm trying to play therapist for my friend who attempted suicide 11+ times before I came along. Mind you, we be 5th graders.
I kept it all a secret until she came to college with bright red lines across her wrists. That was my breaking point.
I cried and cried and cried and my school couselor come and took me into her office and demanded I tell her what was wrong.
I did.
She get help, and I don't talk to her anymore.
best thing her parents could do for her IS to bring back her a therapist. There are too many uncovered emotions trailing cutting, that they need to come out. Only a real psychiatric therapist could help her.
EDIT-- And if you really REALLY care about her, you'll do whats best for her. Which is to inform someone. Someone who will do something to stop her, and get her the help she needs. Before it's too slow.
