A quiz give or take a few IBS?

On and off for at least the last two years I enjoy had times when I would have lower stomach pain that sometimes be also in my upper left side. With constipation & diarrhea in alternation. I have a lower CT scan in 2007 & 2008 and they both came back flawless. Usually I only had these symptoms for a week or so.
I am having alike symptoms again but this time it has been about 4 or 5 weeks next to this feeling of misery. Again I have constipation & diarrhea in alternation, after I enjoy a bowel movement, I feel like I still need to stir. Sometimes I have 2 or 3 bowel movements close together. Sometimes the movements are normal and sometimes it is like diarrhea. Some days nil.
I'm having a lot of gas also.
But my stomach pretty much bothers me all time. Usually worse first thing in the morning and late at hours of darkness before bed. The rest of the day, I notice the discomfort but it is not too bleak.

Do you think I have IBS, my wife thinks I do, since her Mom have it, and my description of my problems is the same thing her Mom is going through.
