Adrenal Hyperplasia or something else?
Would a very high 17 OH Progesterone (1418; lab slip said it shouldn't be over 200) and high DHEA (1100; lab slip said should be beneath 900) indiate late onset adrneal hyperplasia? I had a CT scan that be fine except for a ovary cyst.
(10 years ago dx'd with PCOS but new endo thinks it might be something else). Thanks!
Answers: Absolutely! That 17-OHP smooth is very high and looks like it may terrifically well be CAH. However, adrenal tumors need to be ruled out too. Please see a good endocrinologist--reproductive endos are recurrently more familiar with CAH. Source(s): www.caresfoundation.org
