Kidney ruin diagnosis?
I am writing a short story and need to know about the diagnosis of kidney failure. How long does it hold to find out that you have a failed kidney and what tests do you enjoy to go through?

There are several conditions that can cause rapid deterioration of kidney function. Whatever the underlying cause, the condition is specified as Acute Renal Failure.
This makes you very tired / lethargic / sleepy. Other symptoms include malaise ('opinion sick"); oligura / anuria (little or no urine made); dyspnoea (shortness of breath); oedema (puffiness in legs).
You would end up in hospital and initially the blood and urine would be tested. You would later get scans of the kidney and possibly a biopsy of the kidney.
