13 year antiquated next to a fruitless memory... is this ordinary?

Hi... i am 12, well 13 in january, and i have simply started to realise that my memory isn't as great as it used to be... now, i know as you get older, your memory get worse... but i am not THT old... all of my friends are like... oh.. dont verbs about it... its nothing- but i'm not too sure and am starting to get really worried... i recently asked this query on here already... and everybody said it is probably ADHD and i should go see a doctor.. but... i dnt think it is, because dont you have to be born beside it and slowly develop it, and get diagnosed at 6?? and as i'm 12, wouldn't it be unnlikely for me to actually have it??
se help!!
P.S.. i'm meant 2 be going out 4 the afternoon 2morrow and wont enjoy it.. if all i can think almost it ADHD?
Answers:     It is usually not very jammy for someone to determine if they have memory problems on their own, so most of the time its just a matter of perception. If you have an actual memory problem it would be nearly impossible to do well in school - you can't possibly swot up if you can't remember things. So, the fact that you get good grades pretty much eliminate any likelihood that you have a memory problem. The problem with actual memory loss is that If you can't remember an event, in that is no way to know that you forgot it unless someone tells you about the event that you do not recollect.

Also, just because someone doesn't pay attention to things, it doesn't mean they enjoy some sort of problem like ADHD. Listening to things people say and remembering details more or less events you experience is something that does not come naturally to most people - you have to revise how to do it. Learning to pay attention is a simple process, but it takes a lot of time to become honourable at it.

Most people with attention problems are thinking about something else when they are busy doing something (so you don't remember what you be doing) or they are thinking about something else when someone else is talking (so you don't remember what they were saying). You own to learn how to identify situations when you are thinking about other things, and refocus you attention on what you are doing or what someone else is saying.
get a deck of cards, play the memory team game....if you cant finish the game ? you have ADHD.....its as simple as that
Don't be too concerned about your bad memory. Since you're 12, you'd probably already be diagnosed with ADHD if you DID own it. It might just be a pre-puberty thing. You're entering your teen years, and most teenagers don't have that-great memories. You might want to start adjectives in more brain activity...like reading, doing puzzles, playing memory-type games. Don't be so sudden to assume it's ADHD, despite what others might say. You'd need to be evaluated by a doctor for that.
