A request for information in the region of my ct scan?
I got a ct scan and nothing showed on it. Now I am getting one with dye injected into me. My put somebody through the mill is what are the reasons that this would work better. Also what, if anyone knows, is the frequency of the dye being needed and truly finding something. Something is definitely wrong and I am just trying to find out what it is.
Answers: The contrast (dye) for Ct exams is either intravenous or oral (swallowed). Sometimes they use both. It helps because it highlights things, thus making for better definition of the scan.
symptoms do you have??
What the contrast does is to clearly delineate abnormal structures. Some things show up lower than contrast better than with out contrast. Contrast improves the image. If your doctor reordered the CT beside contrast, it's because she/he is being thorough. You say "something is definitely wrong" and unmistakably your doctor agrees or a CT wouldn't have been ordered in the first place. Be glad you own this doctor and best of luck. Hi
You're adamant that in that is something wrong with you and your GP concurs with you. He or she is just trying to cause sure that the problem is found and hopefully fixed.
Thus giving them a difficult chance of determining the problem.
Hope this helps
