Any planning what cause ringing contained by the ears or tinnitus?

For the last few weeks it has become so pronounced. It sounds like crickets overlapping, subtly, but it is loud and is distracting. I'm concerned. I have changed jobs (a lot of engineering and security electronics), and wonder if this can hold anything to do with it.
