I enjoy a unexpected casing of Lactose Intolerance, what should I do?
I'm 19 now, but back in the 9th level I was diagnosed with being Lactose Intolerant and have IBS. However for the most part I feel like it's not so much the Lactose making me sick as it's the IBS. For example, I can drink 1% milk, but 2% make me sick. I can have the ice cream you buy at the grocery store but ice cream at an rime cream shop makes me sick. Certain creams and sauces will give me a stomach ache. I own no idea what's wrong, am I Lactose Intolerant and have IBS or just hold IBS? I've read that Lactose Intolerant symptoms can show up in IBS, but I was still tested and found to be allergic to dairy. I'm very confused, and not knowing if a clear in your mind dairy product will or will not make me sick is very annoying. I guess I just want to know if anyone else hold experienced the same thing as me.
ld I make a food log? If I do that what should I do with it?
Answers: I think your underlying problem is gluten intolerance. I have IBS and am lactose intolerant and simply recently discovered that this has all be caused by an underlying gluten intolerance. I am now on a gluten and dairy free diet but it will take sometime for my body to restore to health. After 12 months on a gluten free diet, you can often add dairy back into your diet, but surrounded by my experience IBS is better without dairy anyway. Gluten intolerance is widely undiagnosed and doctors don't connect medical symptoms to gluten intolerance.
