Laparascopy surgery and hypoglycemia?

So I'm having laprascopy surgery in a week to diagnose endometriosis. Of course having surgery you cant chomp through anything the night before and the day of surgery. I enjoy hypoglycemia and my sugar drops fast and sometimes without warning. I be wondering would that be a problem during the surgery. I'll be asleep so I wont be able to tell them if it drops.
Answers:    As long as your doctors are aware, I would not be too concerned. I've had 7 laparascopies and near each one, I was told to not eat or drink after 10pm or midnight. Is your surgery contained by the morning or afternoon? If it's not until the afternoon, check to see at what time you have to stop eating/drinking. When you check in to the hospital, they hook you up to an IV and give you fluids so that you do not seize dehydrated. They will probably give you some sort of saline solution. As for the hypoglycemia, you will have a intact team that's only job is to hang on to an eye on you during the surgery. They will be carefully monitoring your heart rate, as well as other systems so if your body starts to react poorly, they can rob action. If you have any questions or concerns, very soon is a good time to get a hold of your doctor and try to go over them. I other have had appointments a week or so out from my surgery where I certainly get to speak with my doctor to voice any questions or concerns.
