Nausea after surgery?
Four weeks ago I had liver resection surgery due to an adenoma.
d been recovering fine - moving around okay, drinking okay, using the bathroom, etc but for the past week I have been suffering from fruitless nausea after eating.
I have been intake a variety of different foods so there is no one food surrounded by particular that has caused this. Anything I get through sets me off with nausea.
I was wondering if anyone else experienced this or knows what it could be - a result of the surgery probably? As I said, up until a week ago I had been eating and digesting fine.
And no - I am not pregnant!

Answers: Could you hold picked up a tummy bug?
Easy to do when we have been 'kmocked about' by surgery.
Have you been doing too much? both an anaesthetic and surgery are an assault on our bodies.
Ring your doctor's department for advice if this carries on.
Quite a common side effect of heaps pain killers is nausea and or vomiting, normally it can thieve a few days for this side effect to show, as the drug level needs to build up in your body. Therefore this could be a adjectives side effect of some of the drugs that your are taking post-op. My advice would be if you are concerned then please see you doctor, especially if you are feeling any dull pain or major discomfort around the wound site. Also check the wound site regularly and see if it is red or the color has changed, as this could be a sign of infection in the wound, but this is really unlikely, just be aware.
