How did they wipe up their hand to obtain rid of germs contained by the olden days?

like after doing their "business" (urinating, etc)
they have any type of antibacterial soap at all?
Answers:    I hold HEARD that any soap, when washed the proper amount of time, will kill hte same germs as anti-bacterial.
