Antibiotics shortly after strep throat to avoid rheumatic disorientation?

I don't have insurance. Just to get that out on the table... If I did you can bet I would have be sure a long time ago exactly what's going on with me.
ier this week I came down with what I believe be strep throat. I'm not sure how much it would cost to see a doctor and have it confirmed from him/her, but I'm not sure we could afford it.

Today I am finally starting to feel closer to 100% better, but I'm kind of worried almost rheumatic fever. I've heard its onset can be a week to five weeks after the strep throat which be not treated or not treated adequately.

I do still have swollen glands pretty badly, but they are slightly better, but my resting heartbeat is still above what is normal and I quality pains in my chest. Not sure if that means anything... but yeah. Wish I had insurance... :-/
Answers:    You requirement to be checked by a doctor. Call your local hospital and ask them to refer you to a free clinic in your area. Please get checked.
