35yr weak woman near disc disease stomach pains?

I am 35 and have been diagnosed with Degenerative disc disease at the stratum of L5-S1 (disc space narrowing). No it is not due to any injuries it has just happened. I hold been given pain medicine and physical psychoanalysis. I am also having very strong pain surrounded by my upper left stomach area that comes and goes and nil seems to help it. Does anyone know if I should be concerned about anything serious? Even if purely to ask my doctor to rule out just in case. All of this is tremendously very pain full and I have a special involve child to take care of. The pain drug helps but it has been going on for 4weeks now and Im starting to worry though my doctor says alot of populace have these problems I am only 35! and just want some more opinion on this. It is hard to function. Thanks
Answers:    Ok so i don't normally discuss bowel movements but that could be going on. i have alike thing, fibromyalgia and arthritis in my lower lumbar. Almost all NSAIDs hurt my stomach but over the narcotic pain killers can cause constipation and that could be what it is. I'm 23 and i own been on every NSAID you could think of and just roughly speaking every pain killer and they don't help completely. but i have to be put on promethazine for the stomach problems i've had since i was young. But run to the dr anyways just so they can rule out any serious problems
I'm sorry that you are having these problems. If you are taking an NSAID (Motrin or any of those types of medicines) or aspirin, stomach pain can be a side effect of that and can be serious. If you enjoy told your doctor about the stomach pain he should have done something just about it.
medications that are given for your problem are NSAID's. Some are more gentle on the stomach than others. Your doctor should know which ones they are. I take Relafon. Gastro Esophageal Reflux disease starts around 35 to 40 years outmoded so that should be looked at as a possible cause of the stomach pain also.

I don't like your doctor at adjectives. Yes, a lot of people (like myself) have deteriorating disc disease surrounded by the L-4,L-5,and S-1 areas but that is not a reason for him to say, "don't verbs about it." There are things you can do do minimize the problems it will cause you in your existence. A big thing is to not have a job next to heavy lifting! That will make things much worse.

I would get a 2nd opinion. Source(s): I used to work as a Registered Nurse and hold suffered with degenerative disc disease for many years.
